PrestoWeather is developed and maintained by Fontaine Farm SRL, a technology company based in the heart of Brussels, Belgium. Founded in 2023, we saw a fundamental problem in the weather forecast space: most weather apps were either bloated with unnecessary features, riddled with intrusive advertising, or charging subscription fees for basic information that should be freely available to everyone.
The inspiration for PrestoWeather came from a simple question: "What's the weather going to be like tomorrow?" This seemingly straightforward question often required navigating through multiple screens, video ads, newsletter popups, and premium upgrade prompts just to get a basic answer. We believed there had to be a better way.
As a European company, we also recognized the importance of privacy and data protection. Many existing weather services collected extensive user data, tracked browsing behavior, and shared information with third-party advertisers. OpenWeatherMap aggregates data from over 40,000 weather stations, meteorological satellites, and advanced atmospheric models to provide accurate forecasts for millions of locations globally.

Our application is built as a progressive web app (PWA), meaning it can work offline and provides an app-like experience on mobile devices.

We use IP-based geolocation only for initial location detection, and this occurs directly between your browser and the geolocation service—we never see your IP address or location data.

PrestoWeather supports 16 languages: English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, and Turkish.
